LEAF Link update - Version 1.1.2 Trial - Charge Stations bug fixed

As I wrote in my earlier post, Mike fixed the OpenChargeMap charge stations bug (not showing in France), removing the filter on connector type = J1772 & CHAdeMO

LEAF Link New version 1.1.2

BTW, I found this browsing my iPhone Settings

Removed the old app version 1.1.0

Downloaded the latest version from his server & sync on iTunes ...

App start up: Login problem :-( (oh no...)

and on the second try I get connected to CARWINGS server :-)

Maps, options, Mike added "Show Compatible Charging Stations" & "Show All Charging Stations"
I choose the first one on purpose (that is like before ina away, a filtered search on J1772 & CHAdeMO)

and I get this message: "Nothing found" and it proposes to choose the other option "Show all" and I choose "Always" because that is what I need to see charge stations here (until they get the connector type...)

and here are the Parisian charge stations showing :-)
Bravo Mike !

Option has been changed here

Merci Mike !  :-)

Second day with LEAF Link iPhone App - New Version 1.1.0

This week end, after updating the LEAF Link iPhone App to the latest version 1.1.0 on the App Store, I went to several places in Paris and checked often the app and its notifications

Status out of the parking

Sending Japanese restaurant address to the LEAF GPS

Testing: Start Charging (I am parked in the street, unplugged), and the return message is "Charging failed, not plugged in", which was expected ...

After lunch, my son and I are heading to Opera to the Apple Store to take a look at the new Iphone 5

and parking at Autolib on Boulevard Hausmann, and plugging in on the third party EV charge spot

New status notification from the app received

Galeries Lafayette ...

The Opera Apple Store (a beautiful building, formerly a 100 years old bank)

and here it is, the new iPhone 5 ! and it is difficult to get to have one in our hands

Check the app: the car is charging ...

Nice, nice ...

Cool in landscape, much more room

Beautiful aluminum back

Thin

and at the accesories downstairs

New York City

New headphones

Amazing flyover...

Still charging ... more range

More range, end time shortened

And moving to Marais, parking at Mairie de Paris, our usual charge station, after de-ICEing one spot (I had to remind the Diesel BMW owner parking that it was reserved for EVs)

The Cityhall

Charging again

and heading for this great Italian ice cream shop

Milk cream cone, yummy !

And a Vectrix is there charging too

Dashboard range

is identical to LEAF Link app range, 150 km

And on the way back home, an Autolib in traffic jam

Tonight, I will have to take some time and test Mike's new version of the app, including OpenChargeMap charging stations location bug

LEAF Link Charge Stations not showing in France - Problem Solved by Mike

Yesterday, I wrote to Mike about the Open Charge Map stations not showing on his LEAF Link app

This is what happens:

If I check "Show Charge Stations" here ...

Good news from Mike last night: He found that the reason was he filtered by default on J1772 & CHAdeMO charge station type ... and this information is not available here, or nit specified, so nothing is displayed ...

He fixed that on a new app version but unfortunatly I was in the process of updating to iOS 6 last night (and all night actually), so I will maybe install this update tonight ...

By the way, now the OS has been updated on my iPhone, the app works fine with it and uses the New Apple Maps instead of Google Maps:

And displays the Recent Places (red dots) now

LEAF Link Update - Sending Destination Data to the car

So the bit I missed last saturday to retrieve the destination sent from the LEAF Link App to the car is this:

It is was easier than I thought, so this tuesday, going out to Paris (again), I tried it: CARWINGS > Favorites > LEAF Link
A voice tells you it is connecting to the information server and few seconds after the destination is spoken to you, then you can set up the itinerary to get there using the regular onboard GPS

After a very good diner @ Brasserie LIPP with a good Italian friend of my wife coming from New York

And then a little "Paris by night" drive around and the LEAF Link App tells me that I can go home without any problems ...
