On the GTChannel, we just found complete video from the record-breaking Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution III run at Pikes Peak Challenge, in which Greg Tracy took second place overall.

Time of 9:08.188 is not only record for EVs, but also one of the fastest ever on the 20 km climbing course up to the 4,301 meters.

Flooded i-Miev: A Close Look at a BMS Board

Look how complex this 3 cells BMS is on the i-MiEV ...

- Is this really necessary ? (See Jack Rickard's thoughts on this)
- How much cheaper would electric cars be without this kind of electronics ?

"We take a close look at a battery management board from a four-pack of lithium cells pulled from a Mitsubishi i-Miev electric car flooded in Super-Storm Sandy."

Mitsubishi was 2nd at Pikes Peak

Following with the Pikes Peak Hill Climb event, Mitsubishi arrived 2nd in the Electric Vehicle category with its i-MiEV Evolution, a race car based on i-MiEVcomponents but with a radically different chassis (a bit like the Nismo NISMO RC based on LEAF components)

Famous Japanese race car driver Hiroshi Masuoka was behind the wheel and did a very good race, after a scary accident during practice

After rebuilding the the car for the race and skipping the other days of training, the talented driver did very well with the car !

Also in the race, Beccy Gordon was driving a stock i-MiEV (with a mandatory roller cage added) and finished 126th

With a big smile on her face :-)

New Citroen C-Zero @ Citroen HQ Showroom

I went to Citroen Head Quaters Showroom after lunch on this sunny day, and found out that they have a new version of the C-Zero (Mitsubishi i-Miev) on display; They previously had a white one, but during six months, no EV at all...

Cute in red

Camel brown interior with stiched leather on the wheel and gear lever

Like a LEAF, this pens the charge port lid

i-Miev from my LEAF

Last monday, as I was driving back from work, for once, I saw this Peugeot iOn, (based on the Mitsubishi i-Miev) right in front of me a the red light

Mitsubishi - EV Serves as Power Feeder

Note 1: Original nebuta are large paper lanterns traditionally taking the form of Japanese fans, puppets or animals. They are illuminated from inside and carried on floats in a riotous procession.

Note 2 : The EMS enables the electricity stored in the power feeder to be used at times of high electrical demand and the charging of EVs during periods of low demand, thereby making possible effective electric management and the reduction of consumption during peak hours.
