10,000km in our LEAF

Finally reaching 10,000km in our 2 years + LEAF

Now that I am not using the Vectrix to commute to my new customer, 

our LEAF accumulates kilometers faster of course, 

more or less 1,000 a month

Commuting with the LEAF

After 3 years of Vectrix, I am now finally using my LEAF full time !

I have been commuting with the LEAF now for 3 weeks, with an average of 50km round trip per day, and 1,000km have passed already




It is a pleasure to go to work in the real car, with all the confort, a great acceleration, all this with no smoke or pollution ....

My top speed so far is 151km/h on a portion that is normally 130km/h, for a little time just to test it: it works well !

My favorite screen is the Energy Monitor where I can see Real Time Battery Usage for Motor, Heating/air Conditioning and Others: Lights, Stereo, Electronics ...

e-Solex will be Made in France again soon

It was in the news yesterday, EasyBike Group, the company who took over the e-Solex brand name, after the maker of the e-Solex designed by Pininfarina back in 2006, will be manufacturing them in France, relocalising the production after Italy and China.

It is a good sign and I am happy that this cool little Electric Scooter will still be available; I rode two of them to commute and go to Paris on week ends for more than two years, but had to sell them last year; They were great in the city !

Industry Minister Arnaud Montebourg visited their new office in Aubervilliers, close to Paris, and got to ride one of their Electric Bikes along with EasyBike Group CEO Grégory Trebaol, surrounded by journalists

4,500km with our LEAF in a year a half

This sunday, our LEAF passed 4,500km, in a 1.5 years (nov 2011)
I know, it is not a lot, but it is because my daily communte to work is done with my Vectrix ...

My Vectrix turned 33,333 km

I wanted to take a picture of  this very number yesterday,
but it came right in the middle of my commute,

 so this is the closest I could photograph ...

My first e-Solex has been sold last night & is gone now ...

Purchased in march 2010, I used it a lot to commute, along with the second one, until I got the Vectrix 

I took these pictures while waiting for my customer, another woman, from Paris, delighted to ride an electric scooter with this design

I filled up the battery because we used it a liitle the night before for testing in the parking

Next to the Vectix, of course an e-Solex is smaller, but also cheaper, lighter, more stylish (I think) and eye-catching

In fact it is a very different feeeling you get riding it, and I must say I had a very good time using it all these months

And here is my young female customer, leaving with her new e-solex in the cold ...
